A little about us:
Newbee is privately owned by Paul (British 45yrs) and Benedicte (Norwegian 35yrs), both experienced seafarers and Military Officers. Paul is Newbee’s Skipper and served in the British Naval Service for 27 years, before retiring from active duty to be with Benedicte and sail full-time on Newbee. Benedicte is Paul’s partner and Newbee’s First Officer and she is on extended sabbatical leave from the Norwegian Military to sail with Paul.
We both come from sailboat/motorboat yachting families and have many thousands of nautical miles under our keels, and we are extensively trained from both miltary and civilian yachting authorities.
We began planning our catamaran liveaboard lives together 4 years ago, and after purchasing and extensively upgrading Newbee in Norway, we sailed her down to the Canaries and across the Atlantic with the ARC rally in 2023. We are currently cruising in the Caribbean Sea and loving life helping others achieve their dreams.
